    Now you have a website set up and published it’s time to start building back links. Back links are the backbone of the internet marketing strategies. These are the links that search engines crawl the internet and record all their information. The more of these back links a website has, usually means that it is a mature website that has been around for some time. If you are interested in building a high traffic website then you must build links back to your site. Using this manner will greatly improve your seo ranking on the major search engines and improve your chances of making money online. Major search engines use the presence of back links to decide where your site ranks in the search engine system. Quality links mean better results for the website owner and more free traffic.    Using social networking sites can give you good back links.  When you use these kind of sites you create a link plus get free traffic. Getting free traffic is what everybody with a website wants to do. About the back links, you want to get as many quality back links as you can. Make sure the websites that you are linking to is ranked, and are on the same subject. Having all the links in place, your site should get a good ranking, and this will bring you free traffic.

I have a website I built on Yahoo business, it’s just a crappy template they had. But when I do a GOOGLE or YAHOO search for “Original Signs” (the name of my business) My site is not there! How To Build The Kind Of Website That Search Engines Love

The easiest way to build the kind of website that search engines love is having a simple content site and making sure that you have relevant links and tags on every page. Then you will want to get backlinks to the pages on your website. In other words, it’s not necessary to resort to the latest fad or to any black hat tricks. What has worked for years still works today.

The search engines adore content. The more content you have on your website the higher up you should rank in the search engines.

In order to avoid potential problems when you build your site always use unique content rather than duplicate content. Duplicate content is using material exactly as it appears elsewhere on the Internet. There is some debate as to whether or not duplicate content is something to be avoided.

Keeping it simple means you should avoid using flash as well as images that take up a lot of bandwidth. You (and the search engines) want your website to load as quickly as possible.

In order to enhance your search engine rankings each page on your website should link to at least one other page on your site. You can also link to other websites from within your pages.

Next, if you want to outrank your competition for the keywords you picked you should have more backlinks than they do. The backlinks should ideally come from other sites that have a high PR rating.

If your site is about computer tutorials, then you need to get backlink from sites which are related to your niche. For example, a link from a Photoshop tutorials site can help you gain greater authority but a backlink from a furniture dealer will not count.

If you have been working with a link building services for quite some time now and you haven’t reached the first page of the SERPs, then you had better start evaluating the kind of links you are getting. Check for the relevance, as well as the quality of the links. High PR, .gov and .edu sites are considered as sites of high authority. How To Get Your Website Ranked In The Search Engines

If you’re trying to make money on the internet, the best thing you can do is get your website ranked on the first page of search results for the major search engines.

Why?

Because, ranking on the first page of results gives you the opportunity to get quality traffic to your money-making offer, without costing you any money! This means that any sales you make off of a free website ranking is pure, 100% profit!!! But then that begs the question:  How do you do it? After all, search engines are confusing!  They’re always changing, and they rely on super-high-tech algorithms that are top secret to rank websites.

Right?  Right?

There are more factors that go into the secret sauce, but these are the easiest to understand. First is the page title.  If you do a search in Google, and look at the results, the title of the page is the first big, blue hyperlink you’ll see. Search engines believe that if a keyword is in the title of the webpage, then that webpage must be relevant to the search query.  So they will rank those pages higher than pages that don’t have the keyword in the page title. Next, look at the file name.  This is the name of the actual HTML file of the webpage.  For instance, most homepages have the file name “index.html”.  But if you name your file after the keyword you want to rank for, then the search engines will believe it to be more relevant. So if you’re looking to rank for the keyword “flowers”, you’d want to name your webpage flowers.html. Having your keyword in the actual file name of your page will signal to the search engines that your page is probably relevant to that keyword.

Finally, there are contextual links.  There are hyperlinks within the content of your website that allow search engines to crawl through your entire website. When you know how to link to your own pages, using relevant keyword text in the links, the search engines will determine that the page you are linking to are relevant to the keywords in the links. So if you link to your flowers page from your homepage using the keyword “Flowers”, that will help the search engines determine the relevancy of that page to that link.
